BIOMASS -- Energy from Wood,Garbage, and Agricultural Waste:  Energy Information Administration (EIA)
Biomass as Feedstock for a BioEnergy and BioProducts Industry: a Technical Feasibility of a Billion Ton Supply::  new link -- information about biomass availability in the United States
NEW  Biomass Conversion Research Laboratory  --  The BCRL at Michigan State University seeks to develop cost effective and environmentally attractive means of generating fuels, chemicals, materials, foods and feeds from renewable plant biomass.
Biomass Energy:  Alternative Energy Institute Home Page This site seeks to educate the public about the impending non-renewable energy crisis and the possible solutions to the crisis. You will learn why fossil fuels and nuclear energy will not meet the needs of an ever-expanding world population. You will also learn the value of traditional renewable energy resources, new energy resources, and the transition to sustainable energy resources.
Biomass Energy Feasibility Studies:  new link -- BERC has learned that the most cost-effective approach to studying the feasibility for a biomass energy project is to approach the study in stages. We advise not spending too much time, effort, or money on a full feasibility study before discovering whether the potential project makes basic economic sense. So at the outset of considering a project, BERC generally suggests undertaking a pre-feasibility study. This is a basic assessment, not yet at the engineering level, to determine the project's apparent cost-effectiveness.
Biomass Energy Resource Center:  new link -- We are BERC, the Biomass Energy Resource Center. Our home is in Montpelier, Vermont, and we work on projects around the country to install systems that use biomass fuel to produce heat and/or electricity. Our partners in these projects have included schools, communities, colleges, businesses, utilities, and government agencies.  /  (added 09/2005)
Biomass Fuels Energy Carbon and Global Climate Change:  Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Biomass Program:  The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Biomass Program develops technology for conversion of biomass (plant-derived material) to valuable fuels, chemicals, materials and power, so as to reduce dependence on foreign oil and foster growth of biorefineries.
Biomass Pyrolysis Network:  PyNE Aston University
Biomass Research:  National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Biomass Resource Estimates:
Biomass:  Clean Energy For America's Future:  A private site that is definitely one sided. Very "green" in it's philosophy.
Biopower renewable energy from plant material:  Another department of energy site, but it is worth mentioning. This site has loads of links and information. Starting with general policy and then getting more specific.
Burning Wood and Other Renewable Fuels:  Do you burn wood? Would you like to? Get your heating fuel cheap, or even free.
