Simple Reason to Recycle

Recycling Saves:

  • Energy - It usually takes less energy to make recycled products
     
  • Natural Resources - Making paper from recycled good, for example, saves trees
     
  • Clean Air and Water - Making products from recycled materials, in most cases creates less air pollution and water pollution
     
  • Landfill Space - When paper, plastic, glass, etc go in the recycle bin they can be reused and not lay for an untold number of years in landfills
     
  • Money and Creates Jobs - It takes people to complete the recycling process.  Recycling creates jobs and jobs are a good thing

 

 
What happens to Recycled Items?
  • Recycled aluminum cans become, well more aluminum cans
    Aluminum can be recycled almost indefinitely
  • Glass bottles, both colored glass and clear,  become new glass bottles
  • Paper can be recycled into new paper
    Recycled paper can be recycled many times
  • Plastic bottles can become a variety of products, such as carpet, clothing, auto parts, not to mention more bottles
  • Steel cans can also be used in many new items,are used in other steel products such as car parts and construction materials, and can also be recycled over  and over again
